WCF presents 8 teams of two competing in 4 different events*. Each clan fields a couple, you can send me a message on XBL with your players, or post in the sign up thread on our forum. In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, actual couples may have a slight advantage. Sign ups are first come, first serve, but if this is received well the next one will be two lobbies to accommodate more people.

It’s about time right? HC has geared up and we are rolling out new Challenges for Halo. This time we are working with Halo 3: ODST.

This set of challenges will work much the same as the Halo 3 Campaign Challenges. Every few weeks, a new map and new challenges will be issued to the community. 8-Bit Brigade Charity Drive 2009 to benefit Child’s Play

It’s that time of the year where holiday celebrations and gift giving hits everyone’s radar. At 8-Bit Brigade, we have just started our annual charity event with proceeds being donated to a great cause, Child’s Play. This is our 4th year raising money for this charity as its mission is right up every gamers alley.

Each year, Child’s Play donates toys and games to children at various Children’s Hospitals around the country. For every dollar donated, you will receive a ticket for a chance to win a prize from our prize pool. We have many sponsors lined up with great prizes that will be raffled off to the winners. More details as well as a list of sponsors and prizes are on our charity page. A couple of notable sponsors and prizes include Insomniac Games donating some Ratchet and Clank swag, Neversoft donating Band Hero and Guitar Hero 5 bundles.

NEC Wins GGN Firefight League

That’s all she wrote folk! Due to yet another drop this week I’ve decided to call it at the regular season and not move into the finals. With that I’m pleased to announce that Northeast Core was the overall points and total score winners! Congrats NEC, well played!

What started off as an idea turned into a league which turned into an endurance marathon. I’d like to thank all the teams who participated but especially the teams who reported scores every week. ODST and Firefight seemed to have a shorter life span then any of us thought that first week we started playing. Yet it was still fun and a great time to bond with group members in a competitive setting that lacked any tension from an opposing team. Except those sneaky Engineers, damn I hate you. Again thanks to all who participated and those who helped come up with idea’s, rules and regulations. I enjoyed the stat tracking and the game play. Now who’s ready for MW2?!
